Planned Parenthood’s Roo Named World Changing Idea by Fast Company

Planned Parenthood’s first-ever AI product by Work & Co has been named a “World Changing Idea” by Fast Company.
Out of 2,000 submissions — up from 1,400 last year —“Roo”, the chatbot we made in partnership with Planned Parenthood rose to the top as:
- Winner in the Consumer Products category
- Finalist in the Apps, Health and Wellness, and Education categories
- Honorable mention in the General Excellence category
Now in its third year, the World Changing Ideas Award showcases products, concepts, companies, policies, and designs that are pursuing innovation for the good of society and the planet. Fast Company editors were joined by a prestigious group of changemakers and social entrepreneurs as the judges. They included the founder of Backstage Capital, curator of the National Building Museum, founder of Kiva and the founder of the Renewable Energy Transition Initiatives.
Other winners this year include Siemen’s efforts to put Puerto Rico back on the power grid following Hurricane Maria and Motiv’s electricity-powered chassis which help commercial fleets reduce greenhouse emissions.
